Months Ago... Alpha Centre in Ngee Ann Polytechnic had started months back engaging themselves in looking for the right 3D software for designing their robot. They have tried the different CAD software but could not find the right one which they need to have these requirement - FAST, EASE of USE and PRECISE. IronCAD® has provided us a great flexibility and efficiency for the mechanical design process. We can studying various robot design ideas by constructing the robot through the Mechanical Components from the Part Catalogs in drag and drop steps.
We can fine tune the design object easily anytime using the translation, rotation, mirroring or patterning through the TriBall 3D tool. Our robot designs will be catalogued under the IronCAD® customized database for the future use and modification. After 4 days of training, students has gained enough knowledge to enable them to work on the software right away. It shows that IronCAD® has greatly help us to spend more time in design exploration rather then spending a huge amount of time learning the tools and command like most other CAD software. IronCAD® offers a complete design tool solution for Alpha centre to meet our targets in the production of winning robots for the local and international competitions.
